The Learning Safari

The preschool years can never be recaptured. This is the time when so much is discovered and absorbed. Everyday there is something new to wonder and think about, observe and create. It is an exciting and joyful time.

Our school believes in the positive partnerships between the home and the school. Parents are the most influential part of a child's life; we have seen that the entire family benefits when parents are involved in their child's education. As a parent participation preschool, parents have the opportunity to be intimately involved in their child's first school years.

Owned and operated by two qualified and experienced teachers, The Learning Safari strives to make everyday an educational adventure for your child in their two years before kindergarten.

We are located in Sherwood Park in the basement of the Good News Moravian Church (2 Primrose Blvd.). We offer both morning and afternoon classes - two days per week for 3-year-olds, and three days per week for 4-year-olds.

Our school curriculum and activities fosters the principle of "learning through play". We feel that a child's social, physical, intellectual and emotional development is stimulated and fostered through opportunities that allow them to explore, experiment and experience their environment. Our programs are planned around a theme-based curriculum and we use components such as literature, learning centers
, music, crafts, art projects, science experiments, Itchy's Alphabet to teach letter/sound recognition and field trips to work on specific skills and build the children's self esteem.
